Seoul E-Land added young energy to the midfield by recruiting Yoon Seok-joo, a midfielder born in 2002 who was a "former youth representative."
Yoon Seok-joo is a gritty defensive midfielder whose strength is his build-up ability based on elaborate kicks and cutting ability to block opponents' attacks.
As he was recognized for his potential from an early age, he played in various national teams by age groups. Notably, he left a strong impression as he played as a starting member at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Yoon Seok-joo, who joined the professional league in 2021 after graduating from Pohang Steelers, transferred to K League 2 Gyeongnam FC on loan that summer. He played in nine games, including a full-time appearance in his professional debut, and posted one assist.
The following year, he joined Gimcheon and played in 12 games in the K League 1 and contributed to his team's promotion to the K League 1 by recording 16 games and one assist in the K League 2 in the 2023 season. Yoon Seok-joo, who returned to Pohang Steelers last year and played two games, will take on a new challenge at Seoul E-Land this season.
Yoon Seok-joo said, "Seoul E-Land is attractive and has strong energy. Unfortunately, we did not get promoted in the last season's playoff, but I think we are a good team that can sufficiently promote our team. My goal is to get promoted unconditionally. I want to become a player who energizes my team."
Seoul E-Land has added two more players. It has re-energized its defense by recruiting center back Kwak Seung-min and fullback Shin Seong-hak, who were born in 2004. Kwak and Shin are expected to exude youthful energy in the defense line as they joined the team last summer and are motivated to enter Yeongdeungpo Technical High School.
Kwak Seung-min is a center back with a solid physique of 184 centimeters and 80 kilograms, with excellent competition for aerial balls and covering the back space, and also shows strength in aggressive forward passes.
After transferring from Yeongdeungpo Technical High School to Cheonan Jeil High School, he played as a key defender who led three national championships and was recognized for his potential by receiving a defensive award at the Blue Dragon Open. Kwak Seung-min, who made his professional debut with Jeju United in 2023 after graduating from high school, also showed his versatility by playing in eight games as a striker that year.
Kwak Seung-min said, "I'm excited to be in the new team. The advice of Kim Oh-kyu, who was with me in Jeju, was very helpful. I will do my best to contribute to the team in a stable manner."
After graduating from Yeongdeungpo Technical High School, Shin played for Hongik University for two years before joining the professional stage. He is a left and right fullback who freely uses both feet, and his strength is his vigorous activity and sophisticated kick.
Shin said, "It is an honor to start my professional career here. As my aggressive team play style is similar to mine, I will display my fighting spirit every moment by taking advantage of my strengths." 먹튀검증
